“I've worked with dozens of writers and editors over two decades and Josh is among the most capable and talented. He also brings a creative edge that puts him in a class by himself and if that's not enough, he's a pleasure to work with!”
NY Times Bestselling Author, Dr. David Lieberman
If you long to write a thrilling memoir that you are truly excited to share with the world—a story that people will want to read—
—keep reading.
I specialize in writing the most exciting memoirs in the world. Personal stories with suspense, surprise and significance. Memoirs like Into Thin Air, A Walk In the Woods, Captive and Motorcycle Diaries.
Whether you’ve:
survived a crisis
explored an undiscovered frontier
or had a life-changing adventure
…you need the writer who can bring your experiences and ideas to life.
As a full-time ghostwriter, I see drama in your story. My job is to (1) record the most compelling moments in your life, (2) tell your story in the most literate and thrilling way possible.
I’m going to tell you exactly how I do that.
But first, I think you have one question…
Why am I the man to write your adventure memoir?
I’m the author of my own memoir in Global Stories, Literary Journalism, The Best of Class. I’ve ghostwritten for a New York Times bestselling psychologist, a real estate investment broker, entrepreneurs, rabbis and adventurers.
My authors have traveled, emigrated and founded companies. One has run marathons on virtually every continent. Another helps people laugh for a living—thanks to lessons learned after her daughter’s untimely death.
Would you love your memoir to read like a thriller? A tale of adventure? Of love, loss and rebirth?
In that case, everything in it needs to work. You really need to know how to handle each act, sequence, scene and beat. After all, this is not just any story. It’s your story, filled with adventure, excitement and breathtaking moments that must be told well.
For you—I’m doing the interviews, the story development and the writing. I’m backed by my personal team of experienced mentors, editors and advisors. Two things have brought me to this point: my own love for the craft, and the high achievers who believe in, and support the work I do on your behalf.
You and I will meet for interviews, usually over the phone. I record it all, have our conversations professionally transcribed and use them to craft your memoir. My fee includes the transcription, research, story consultation, editing and proofreading.
This is what I need from you:
Be ready, willing and able to be coached. It’s my job to get you up the mountain, and it’s your job to walk the walk. It’s a path built on many interviews, and your commentary on weekly drafts—so we write the best memoir possible.
I’m excited about your story, so please do let me know if I can help in any way.
Go ahead, call me now. Ask me any question you want. I can send you samples and my resume.
Yes, there are a lot of cheaper ghostwriters, editors and agencies. And there’s a reason they are cheap. But don’t take my word for it. Take it from Scribe—who say the best ghostwriters charge around $100,000 and up. The investment I’ve already made in your project is large: from writing dozens of dramatic stories with my mother as a child, to my journalism MA and over a decade spent writing professionally.
Your writing partner is here. Are you ready? Please let me know sooner than later. I would love to help every author who calls, but I’m looking for just one more adventure memoir author in 2020.
Call me, and let’s just see if ghostwriting is right for you. I will do everything in my power to bring value to our conversation.

Why Most Memoirs Never See the Light of Day
Most people never write their own story because it takes a long time. Writing a good memoir is never quick. It takes time to recall your tales, plot the narrative, do the interviews, research the topic, and finally write, rewrite, edit and polish the final draft.
It’s really hard to do this work alone.
Not because you, the author, isn’t capable. But because it’s intense and lonely work. At the same time, many people are surprised at how pleasurable it is to collaborate with a professional story smith—who is both a gifted writer and listener. (The best ghostwriters offer you both.)
Alone We Can Do So Little; Together, We Can Do So Much
It takes 5 months to write a publish-ready memoir.
First, we interview. You’ll tell me the whole story. We speak for at least several hours each week for the first 1-2 months. I’m the journalist, taking in everything you have to say—often uncovering personal revelations along the way.
Second, I digest and arrange this information and structure the memoir. I also research if need be.
Third, I write. Creating the hard-hitting, evocative account of your adventures that you’ve been dreaming about—maybe for years.
Speaking of all those years…How does it feel to want to write, without actually doing it?
It’s a chronic pain.
The best remedy for chronic pain is physical therapy. The best remedy for the pain of wanting to write your memoir is…to write your memoir!
Maybe you don’t believe that your story is thrilling enough. You might not believe that you have the “right stuff” or the zitzfleish to sit for all those hours, days and months to do it.
Whatever you believe, we in the writing community know that bringing on a collaborator is often what turns would-be authors into sure-fire authors.
I guarantee that you will find your interest in the project renewed after a single conversation with a professional writer. My taking a long walk in your shoes, and becoming personally invested in you, and your story, is what ensures that you create a good, finished memoir.
And yes, after all of the interviews—it will be your book.
Many authors before you have created their own books in tandem with co-authors, editors and ghostwriters. In fact, it’s how some of the very best stories of adventure are written.
To work with me, you don’t need to know about writing or how to tell a story. In fact, these are all you need:
· Have passion to be the hero of your story.
· Find value in our interviews and creative collaboration.
· Allow me the honor of being your Sherpa as we ascend the memoir writer’s mountain.
a Final Thought
I want you to write your story while you have time, energy and your memories sparkle during our interviews. We all have a limited amount of time—even though time feels endless. To be candid, most of us live with this irresponsible thought:
Who dies?
Other people.
The sands of your hourglass, and mine, are falling.
And no one else is going to write your book—except me.
Take 10 seconds to fill out this form, it goes straight to me. I’d love to hear about your book, or any question that you have.
